The 4L Method

If you’re thinking of starting a new project or venture, and trying to decide if you should proceed, here’s a filter I use. Before starting, determine if the project (or undertaking, or business venture, or experiment, etc.) is low-cost to try, limited in scope (in terms of measurable time commitment), will you learn something you can use for other things, and is it leverageable to future projects (in terms of skills learned, relationships made, etc.)
