This is somewhat related to affirmations, which is an interesting tool heralded by some to help us move towards our big goals in surprisingly meaningful ways.

Futurecasting is something I use, and I believe I coined the phrase, for casting yourself in your own future. This involves closing your eyes, and seeing and feeling what it will be like when you achieve your goals. It’s almost starting at the end and working your way back to the present.
